Well, tomorrow is the BIG DAY! I leave for sub-saharan Africa tomorrow afternoon at 5:00. After a few days of orientation and the "what ifs" I have played out, what I believe to be, every possible scenario. (I am sure there is something I have not thought of yet!)
Currently, I am concerned about getting through customs in Kenya. Please pray for an easy transition through customs and that the right worker would be there to intercede for me. Pray that I escape without them asking for bribes and requiring lots of duty on items that have to get to other missionaries on the field. I will be moving through customs at about 9:30 PM (Mississippi Time) if that helps. Thank you in advance for your prayers!

"May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation-those good things that are produced in your life by Jesus Christ- for this will bring much glory and praise to God." Philippians 1:11

Meghan, I am so thankful to hear that you are in Africa. Your dream has come true! I only wish me and my family were there with you. Right now I am picturing you in a photo I have from our trip to Ecuador, with little brown-skinned, brown-eyed Ecuadorian children filling your lap. I am now envisioning dark-skinned children with smiles as bright as the sun sitting there! We are praying for the deep love of God to be poured out and received. We love you.
Meghan,
You are how far away? Yowsers!!!! And the word is "supposedly". Can't have you messing up the vocabulary. I hear your first little one ran into your arms and it was love at first sight forever. Why am I not surprised? One look at that smile and those big brown eyes and she knew you as the love she needs. She is going to come to the know that love of Jesus straight through you.
Love you darlin',
